XP-29
The XP-29
was a progressive development of the P-26 featuring an enclosed cockpit
and retracting landing gear.
The
model was built using a Revell P-26, but not much of the original besides
the fuselage, engine and wheels remains. |
The
new wing and tailplanes are obvious in this view. The boxy cockpit enclosure
could not have been very aerodynamic, but at least it was out of the wind. |
