BOEING XP-29

The XP-29 was a progressive development of the P-26 featuring an enclosed cockpit and retracting landing gear.

The model was built using a Revell P-26, but not much of the original besides the fuselage, engine and wheels remains.
The new wing and tailplanes are obvious in this view. The boxy cockpit enclosure could not have been very aerodynamic, but at least it was out of the wind.
