SEVERSKY/REPUBLIC XP-44 Skyrocket

The XP-44 would have bee a P-43 with an even larger engine and looking even more like a Thunderbolt.
The XP-44 was never built. The need for larger, faster fighters was obvious and it was over shadowed by war.
This was built using the Rareplanes kit. There were actually 3 different versions of the P-44 proposed before the project was scrapped in favor of the XP-47B Thunderbolt.
