The XP-46 was an attempt to build a higher performance, lighter weight fighter on the European model.
This model was constructed by cutting down an Academy P-40C kit and using a lot of filler putty. Execuform has a vacuform kit available if you want to go that route.
While it looks a bit like a P-40, it was an original design.
