BELL P-63C King Cobra

Big brother to the Airacobra, the P-63 was large nough to carry everything the Air Force wanted. Even so, most were shipped to foreign air forces.
The paint scheme is carried on the cover of this Aoshima kit. It could be either one of the aerial target planes or perhaps a postwar racer - with cannons.

I know at least one pilot who trained on all the World War II fighters from the P-38 thru the P-51 that said this was his favorite.
