VULTEE XP-68 Tornado

The XP-68 would have been an up-engined version of the XP-54 Swoose Goose. This is also the Execuform kit.
I built this as an "operational" aircraft and added a number of features that were standard in American WWII fighters.

1. Bubble canopy with an ejection seat

2. A heavy nose armament of 4 x 50 cal and 4 x 20mm replacing the clumsy, aimable nose of the XP-54.

3. Additional cooling vents for the enclosed engine.

4. Counter rotating props

5. Drop tanks

6. Fin fillets
